L.D. "Tarzan" Stevens

Mr. L.D. “Tarzan” Stevens, age 86, and a resident of Philadelphia, Ms. passed away on Wednesday February 26, 2014 at Anderson Hospital in Meridian, MS. Visitation was held on Saturday March 1, 2014 from 12 Noon until 3:15 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Funeral Services followed at 3:30 PM in the chapel of Wolf Funeral Services. Officiating was Rev. Bobby Warren. Burial was in the Dennis Cemetery in Lake, MS. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Stevens lived most of his life in Harperville,MS. He had retired as a poultry farmer with Charles Rawson and Hugh Haralson. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to coon hunt.
Mr. L.D. is preceded in death by his parents, Tom Stevens and Mary Bates, seven brothers and two sisters. He is survived by two daughters, Karen Joe and Bessie Ann Jim both of Philadelphia, MS.; one son, John E. Isaac of Philadelphia, MS.; nine grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
