Suzy Sawyer Meador

Suzy Sawyer Meador, age 60, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024, in Gulfport, MS.  The family will receive friends on Monday, January 8, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:45 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS.  Her Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will be at Faulkner Cemetery, no ceremony will be conducted at the graveside.  Bro. Jess Dilley will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.

Suzy was born in Jackson, MS on May 12, 1963, to James C and Shirley Sawyer.  She moved from Pearl, MS to Forest, MS as a child and she lived there for the rest of her adult life.  Suzy was a 1981 graduate of Forest High School.  She later attended Hinds Community College where she was a member of the Hinds CC Band.  Then Suzy attended the University of Southern Mississippi where she graduated with a degree in Marketing and Fashion Merchandising.  Suzy was Baptist by Faith and the owner of S & R Clothing in Forest, MS.  She was creative in making Arts and Crafts and jewelry until her health decline limited what she could do.

Suzy was preceded in death by her father, James C Sawyer.  She is survived by her mother, Shirley Sawyer of Forest, MS; her loving husband of 35 years, Ray Meador of Forest, MS; son, Bryan Meador of Forest, MS and brother, Tommy Sawyer (Stephanie) of Forest MS.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Rawson, Hunter Wolf, Jonathan Sawyer, Johnny Weatherford and Brian Roland.
