Darlene Swilley, 65, a resident of Conehatta passed away Monday, July 16, 2012 at Jeff Anderson Memorial Hospital in Meridian, MS. There are no services planned at this time and burial will be in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton is in charge of arrangements.
Darlene had lived in Conehatta for the past four years, moving from Greenville, MS where she had lived for over thirty years and she was of the Baptist faith. She was a volunteer for the SPCA and she was very patriotic. She had served her country in the U.S. Navy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Frank Swilley; her parents, James and Betty Arney; and one sister, Jean Robertson.
She is survived by one son, Steven Swilley of Conehatta, MS; three sisters; seven brothers; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
