James Morton "Jack" Taylor
James Morton "Jack" Taylor, 82, a resident of Morton, MS passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013 at his residence. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Monday, April 29, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 8:00 until 9:45 am. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 10:00 am in the chapel with burial following in Sims Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Doug Rouse and Rev. Gary Glazier. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He had been a lifelong residence of Morton, MS and was a member of Morton United Methodist Church and he served his country in the U.S. Army. He had retired as a Coach and schoolteacher with the Scott County School System after over 28 years of service. After retirement he became a horse trader and worked at Tadlock Stockyard in Forest until his death. He was a member of the Lewis Brothers Hunting Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Jones Taylor in 2009. He is survived by one son, Jackie Taylor and wife Debbie of Florence,MS; one daughter, Tammy Hesterberg and husband David of Rogers, AR; one brother, Buddy Taylor of Morton, MS; Grandchildren, Jake Taylor of Morton, MS; Katie Townsend of Florence, MS; Mary Taylor Hesterberg of Rogers, AR; and Grace Hesterberg of Rogers, AR.
Pallbearers will be George Varner, Jr., Lawson Varner, Rodney Rasco, Jim Marler, David Tadlock, and Rue Nutt. Honorary pallbearers will be George Varner, Sr., and James Lewis Gibbs.
