Ruthie Nell Thomas (Depriest)

Mrs. Ruthie Nell Thomas, 80, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. There will be a visitation on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 12:30PM until the 1:00PM Funeral Service, all being held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, outside under the portico. Per MSDH guidelines, masks must be worn and social distancing should be practiced. Rev. Issac Blakemore will be officiating.
Mrs. Thomas was born on December 27, 1940 to the late Virginia Sexton and Ethern Allen DePriest. She was Pentecostal by faith. Mrs. Thomas lived her entire life in Morton, MS and she loved gardening.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas is preceded in death by one son, Ricky Dewayne Thomas; sisters, Doshia Prestage and Eva Pinson and one brother, Wilburn DePriest. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jack Thomas; daughter, Nettie McDonald of Clifton; son, Allen Thomas Coley (Dianne) of Morton; sisters, Dorothy Prestage, Hazel Coley, Emily Hines and Euna Stewart, all of Morton; grandchildren, Thomas Edward Coley (Jayme), Kimberly Coley Wilkerson (Gabe), Chris McDonald and Amanda McDonald Engle (Jesse); great grandchildren, Sawyer and Kyndall Coley, Mackenzie Engle, and due in May, Elliot Wilkerson.
