Effie Thornton

Effie Kate Thornton, 67, a resident of Pearl, MS passed away April 03, 2012 at the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Thursday, April 05, 2012 from 1:30 until 2:45 pm and funeral services were at 3:00 pm in the chapel. Burial was in the Eureka Baptist Cemetery in Forest, MS.
Officiating was Rev. David Bryant. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Thornton had lived in Pearl, MS since 2002, moving from Jackson, MS and formerly from Pelahatchie, MS and she was of the Baptist faith. She had worked as an LPN at various nursing homes in Mississippi throughout her career and she loved caring for stray animals.
She is survived by her daughters. Amanda Chandler or Pearl, MS; Jennifer Arender of Pearl, MS; one son, Billy Matt Arender of Worland, WY; one sister, Carrie Massey of Morton, MS; on brother, J.D. Martin of Lena, MS; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
