Mrs. Nellie Ray Traxler, age 86, passed away on Monday October 23, 2017 at the Mississippi Care Center in Morton, MS. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 26, 2017 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM and again on Friday October 27, 2017 from 10:00AM until 1:45PM at the Polkville Pentecostal Church. Funeral Services will be held on Friday October 27, 2017 at 2:00PM at the Polkville Pentecostal Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Barron Price, Bro. Jeremy Price and Bro. Mark Herrington. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Traxler was a lifelong resident of the Polkville Community and was a member of the Polkville Pentecostal Church. She loved gardening, cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family. She also worked with White’s Café in Polkville for many years.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eddie Ray Traxler; her second husband, Roy McDonald; three brothers, Johnny Ray Huff, Jerry L. Huff, and Jimmy D. Huff; one sister, Dorothy Beatty; and her daughter-in-law, Debra Franklin Traxler. She is survived by her sons, Donald G. Traxler (Joyce) of Quitman, MS and Ronnie L. Traxler of Momence, IL; siblings, Fleta Phillips of Polkville, MS, Annett Tadlock of Morton, MS, and Leslie Huff of Polkville, MS; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Sholdon Traxler, Byron Traxler, Josh Traxler, Timmy Huff, Chucky Huff, Billy Tadlock, and Tommy Beatty.
