Audrey Vaughn

Audrey Vaughn a resident of Fort Pierce, FL passed away Thursday, August 08, 2013 at her residence. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Monday, August 12, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm and Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 9:30 until 9:45 am at Leaf River Baptist Church. Funeral services were at Leaf River Baptist Church at 10:00 am with burial following in the Leaf River Baptist Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Danny Dickerson. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Vaughn had lived in Fort Pierce, FL for the past five years, moving from Forest, MS and was a member of Leaf River Baptist Church in Pineville, MS. Mrs. Vaughn graduated from Sylvarena High School and continued her studies at U.S.M. where she graduated in English and Drama, later doing post graduate work in Library Science at U.S.M. After graduation she taught English and Drama throughout various schools in MS and LA and she retired as Librarian at Raleigh High School in Raleigh, MS. Many people will remember her for the wedding cakes she baked for them, a huge meal they may have shared at their home or the baby blanket she crocheted for them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. A.R. Vaughn. She is survived by her two daughters, Mary A. Vaughn of Fort Pierce, FL; and Robin Vaughn Stanley of Roswell, GA.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Todd Stanley, Rusty Vaughn, J.T. Childs, Bingham Moncrief, Matt Alford, and Mike Lee.
