Carolyn Parish Wadsworth, 72, passed away at her home in Pelahatchie on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Family and friends will gather at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, beginning at 10:30. A celebration of her life will begin at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Billy Thompson will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Carolyn was born on September 7, 1949, in Tupelo, MS to Mary Emma "Mimi" Clayton and Willie Raymond Parish. She grew up in Forest, MS and has lived in Pelahatchie for 33 years. Carolyn graduated from Forest High School where she was a cheerleader. She was a dancer all through her younger years, she loved music, reading and putting puzzles together. Carolyn was an avid gardener who earned her Master Gardener Certification. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Emma "Mimi" and Wille Raymond Parish; paternal grandparents, Willie Palmer and Cora Scott Parish; maternal grandparents, Leonard Auvergne and Carolyn Perry Clayton and nephew, Austin Holden. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Eddie Wadsworth; children, Dustin Mixon and Shellie Singletary (Jason); brothers, Rob Parish, Roger Parish, and Ray Parish (Becky); sisters, Kent Holden (Sam) and Pat Acklin (Kenny); grandchildren, Korey and Kyla Singletary as well as a number of other relatives and friends.
