Mr. Fredrick “Fred” Waggoner, age 89 a resident of Morton, MS., passed away on Wednesday August 13, 2014 at Scott Regional Hospital in Morton, MS. Visitation was held on Friday August 15, 2014 from 8:00 AM until 10:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services were held on Friday August 15, 2014 at 11:00 at Wolf Funeral Services. Burial followed in the Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Morton, MS. Officiating was Rev. Jerry Holmes and Rev. Matt Armstrong. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Waggoner was a lifelong resident of the Forkville Community. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was a Mason and a member of the Morton Masonic Lodge. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Mr. Waggoner is preceded in death by his wife, Roma Waggoner in 2000, two brothers, Ernest Waggoner and Byron Waggoner. He is survived by one daughter, Deborah Franklin of Morton, MS.; two sons, Larry Waggoner and wife Lane of Brandon, MS., Tony Waggoner and wife CoCo of Morton, MS.; one brother, Barthel Waggoner of Natchez, MS.; five grandchildren, John Mark Franklin, Brandi Neuhaus, Jessica Waggoner, Haley Ruppert, Amber Johnston; five great- grandchildren, Tori Franklin, Gabbi Franklin, Dylan Neuhaus, Sydney Neuhaus, Swayze Johnston.
Pallbearers were Randy Franklin, Joey Holmes, Charles Stevens, Jon Latham, Sean Waggoner, Matt Ruppert. Honorary pallbearer was Davis Holmes.
