Pansy “Maw Pan” Jarrell, 82, a resident of Forest passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010 at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital, Jackson, MS. Visitation was Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Clifton Baptist Church from 3:30 until 8:00 pm and Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 9:00 am until the service at 2:00 pm with burial following in the Clifton Baptist Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. M. L. Wallace, Rev. Billy Henry,
Rev. Marshall Lum, Rev. Daniel Smith, Rev. Paul Smith, and Rev. Andy Boles. Wolf
Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jarrell was a lifelong resident of the Clifton Community in Scott County and she was a member of Clifton Baptist Church where she was very active in all church activities. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, and doing for others.
Mrs. Jarrell was preceded in death by her parents, Uldrick and Lucy Waggoner, and her husband, Clyde Jarrell in 2005.
Mrs. Jarrell is survived by her daughters, Barbara McCurdy and her husband Melvin of Forest; Marcia Bassett and her husband Henry of Sebastopol; one son, Onan Gardner and his wife Robie of Tyler, TX; grandchildren, Sherri Bassett and Eric Gordy; a host of other children whom she claimed as her own.
Pallbearers were Matthew Smith, Kaleb Andrew Smith, Eric Gordy, Dennis Gordy, Gary Pettigrew, Phil Rasco, Joe Nelson Bell, and David Poole. Honorary pallbearers were Hulon Smith, Bobby Kirby, W.T. Harrell, Abe Morris, and Glover Bell.
