Bessie Rose Walker was born on October 30, 1948 to the late Daniel Clark and Menolar Matlock. She was a 1966 graduate of Bettye Mae Jack High School. Bessie accepted Christ at an early age, and she united with Christian Triumph M.B. Church.
Bessie was an avid learner and voracious reader which inspired her passion for writing. Throughout the years, her welcomes, occasions, poems, and plays were displayed through various events.
Bessie’s sweet caring, and loving spirit landed her a position with Scott County’s School District. She was employed at BMJ’s cafeteria until retirement. Bessie was affectionately known for her “vivid” memory for knowing all of the student’s lunch numbers. Her quick wit and contagious smile would light up a room.
Bessie leaves to cherish her memory her granddaughter: Khamiya Walker (Morton, MS). 2 sisters: Sadie Lee Kincaid (Morton, MS) and Doris Anderson (Seattle, WA), a son in love: Le Var Robinson (Morton, MS) a life-long companion: George Moore (Morton, MS) and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Bessie was preceded in death by her daughter: Crystal Maché Walker, her mother, her father, and siblings: Willie Lee Robinson, Charlie Walker, Curtis Clark, and Charles Clark.
A visitation will be held a Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Tuesday July 7, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM and again on Wednesday July 8, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 10:40 AM. A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Morton, MS on July 8, 2020 at 11:00 AM. In the event of inclement weather the committal service will be held at Wolf Funeral Services Chapel.
