Joyce Ann Wallace, 66, a resident of Brandon passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 10:00 until 11:15 am with a graveside service following at 12:00 noon in the Macedonia Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Carl Rigby. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Joyce was a native of the Clifton Community and had lived in Brandon, MS for the past thirty eight years and she was a Methodist. She had retired as the Cafeteria Manager for the Rankin County Public Schools in Pelahatchie, MS and had worked for the Miss Jennie’s Silver Spoon Daycare Center in Brandon, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Valeria McCurdy.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Wallace of Brandon, MS; two daughters, Rhonda Wallace of Brandon, MS; Tanja Wallace of Brandon, MS; one son, Scott Wallace of Decatur, AL; three brothers, James Ray McCurdy of Forest, MS; Melvin McCurdy of Forest, MS; Roger McCurdy, Arlington, TX; three grandchildren, Allison Peavy, Matthew Finney, Lily Wallace; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Eric Gordy, Jacob Foster, Michael McCurdy, Bob Coward, Jimmy Dale Coward, and Roy Coward. Honorary pallbearer was Eugene McCurdy.
