Julia Ann Warren, 76, a resident of Forest, MS passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 at her residence. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 8:30 until 9:45 am. Funeral services were on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 10:00 am in the chapel with burial following in the Ephesus Baptist Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Paul McDonald and Elder George Gardner. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Warren was a native of Salisbury, MD and had lived in Scott County since 1975 moving from Louisiana. She was a member of the Forest United Methodist Church in Forest, MS. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Warren retired as Director of Housekeeping at Scott Regional Hospital in Morton in 1998.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Warren, Sr.; parents, Robert and Zell Murrell; two sisters, Lila Lee Wright and Charmaine Brittingham.
She is survived by two daughters Debbie Southwell and husband John of Hondo, TX; Christy Jones and husband Bobby of Lena, MS; two sons, Stan Warren, Jr. and wife Melissa of Forest, MS; Bruce Warren and wife Debby of Forest, MS; four grandchildren, Cassandra Johnson, Jordan Warren, Ethan Warren, and Gage Warren; two great-grandchildren, Kayla Johnson and Bella “Boo Boo” Johnson; three step-grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Matthew Cox, and Meredith Cox; six step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Glen Jelen, Allen Ogletree, Dr. John Paul Lee; Eddie Brittingham, Rob Brittingham, and Sam Warren. Honorary pallbearers were Ethan Warren, Gage Warren, John Southwell, Bobby Jones, and Britt Brittingham.
