Curtis Lee Weaver, 76, of Lena, MS passed away Friday, July 05, 2013, at his residence. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Sunday, July 07, 2013 from 4:30 until 8:00 pm and on Monday, July 08, 2013, from 9:00 am until 12:50 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 08, 2013, at Cash Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with burial following in Cash Baptist Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. M.L. Wallace. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Weaver had lived in Cash, MS for the past 20 years moving from Madison, MS and was a member of Cash Baptist Church. He served his country as a military policeman in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Annie Mae Weaver; his first wife, Ellen La Forest Weaver; three sisters, Paulette Smith, Lou Pace, Rene Moore; two brothers, Kenneth and L.C. Weaver. He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Ruth Weaver of Lena, MS; four children, Merri Ann Slay and husband Jeff of Lena, MS; Dewayne Weaver of Lena, MS; Robert Weaver of Lena, MS; John Weaver and wife Sarah of Crystal Springs, MS; two step-sons, David Weeks and wife Shelia of Morton, MS; Freddie Weeks and wife Peggy of Forest, MS; one step-daughter, Shirley Mashburn of Germantown, TN; two grandchildren, Courtenay Ables and husband Cory, and Hayley Slay; six step grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Phil Rasco, Cory Ables, Danny Wayne Weaver, David Brewer, Tommy Gunn and Edwin Pope. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Cash Baptist Church and Mitchell Weaver.
