Ralph E. Wicker, age 58 a resident of Raleigh,MS passed away on Sunday January 12, 2014 at Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest, MS. Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 14, 2014 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday January 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Wolf Funeral Services. Burial will follow in the Old Luther Chapel Cemetery in Pulaski, MS. Officiating will be Bro. Craig Bailey and Bro. Claiborne Huff. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Wicker had lived in Raleigh, MS for the past four years, moving from Harperville,MS. He was a member of the Christian Life Fellowship Church in Raleigh, MS. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish. He had worked as a truck driver with Batte Lumber Company for over thirty years.
He is preceded in death by his mother Ellie Mae Gentry, father Arthur Lee Gentry, two brothers, Ray & Jimmy Gentry, one sister, Shirley Reeves and one uncle, David Wicker. He is survived by one son, Stephen Wicker of Lake, MS.; one daughter, Alanna McCrocklin of Lake, MS.; one brother, Jeffrey Gentry and wife Peggy of Homewood, MS.; one sister, Marie Elmore and husband Bill of Harperville,MS.; two grandchildren, Jayden Myers and Emma McCrocklin, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Charles Jackson, Terry Brown, Ryan Jackson, Floyd Maseda, Levee Horn, Anthony Elmore, Henry Elmore, James Gentry and Lee Wicker. Honorary pallbearers are fellow employees of Jack Batte Lumber Company.
