Mrs. Imogene P. Wilkerson, age 65 a resident of Union passed away on Friday August 1, 2014 at the Choctaw Medical Center in Union, MS. Visitation was held on Wednesday August 6, 2014 from 8:30 AM until 9:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Funeral Services were held on Wednesday August 6, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Wolf Funeral Services. Burial followed in the Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery in Lake, MS. Officiating was Rev. Larry Duncan. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Wilkerson had lived in Hillsboro, MS since 1990 formerly living in Louisiana. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Wilkerson is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wilkerson in 2010, parents, Alvin and Ethel Palmertree, one grandson, J.D. Currie, one brother, Tommy Palmertree. She is survived by three daughters, Angie Currie of Guntersville, AL., Rita Mengucci of Forest, MS., Tabathea James of Union, MS.; one son, Delbert Wilkerson of Forest, MS.; one sister, Betty Barrow of Florence, MS.; one brother, Alton Wayne Palmertree of Florence, MS.; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pallbearer were Dale Wilkerson, Mickey Palmertree, Cory Currie, Christopher Wilkerson, Chris Stevens and Jimmy Porter. Honorary pallbearer was Duey James.
