Otis Williams, 91, a resident of Morton passed away on Wednesday, November 02, 2011 at Golden Living Center in Carthage, MS. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton on Thursday, November 03, 2011 from 5:30 until 8:00 pm and on Friday from 8:00 am until 1:45 pm. Funeral services will be Friday, November 04, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Wolf Funeral Services with burial following in Leesburg Baptist Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry Hamilton and Rev. Bobby Tagert. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Williams was a lifelong resident of the Leesburg community and was a member of Leesburg Baptist Church, Morton, MS. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunt deer, turkey and to fish. He also loved gardening.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pearl Trest Williams in 1988; daughter, Peggy Ashley; two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Mertlean Williams of Morton, MS; three daughters, Emma Jean Prestage of Morton, MS; Otis Faye Denson of Purvis, MS; and Janice Jones of Sandhill, MS; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Mike Rayborn, Cody Huff, Dewayne Prestage, Chris Prestage, Brandon Prestage, and Gary Prestage.
