Mr. Harold Jack Windham, Sr., age 83, passed away on Sunday February 28, 2016 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko, MS. Visitation was held on Tuesday March 1, 2016 from 5:30PM until 8:00PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services were held on Wednesday March 2, 2016 at 10:00AM at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS. Burial followed in the Homewood Methodist Cemetery in Forest, MS. Officiating was Rev. Kevin Yearber and Rev. Milton Koon. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Windham was a native and lifelong resident of the Homewood Community in Scott County. He was a member of the Homewood Methodist Church. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason. Mr. Windham was an avid outdoorsman who loved to deer hunt and was a charter member of the Homewood Deer Club. He had served as President of the Homewood Water Association for 30 years and was a lifelong cattle farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clate and Mildred Windham; his brother, Lemeul Windham; and his sister, Joanne Lamberth. He is survived by his wife, Vermel Windham; three sons, Jack Windham and wife Lindy of Forest, MS, Tony Windham and wife Rose of Little Rock, AR, Steve Windham and wife Tresha’ of Homewood, MS; one daughter, Terry Gaddis and husband Johnny of Forest, MS; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Bob Lamberth, Don Lamberth, Heath Clark, Ricky Foreman, Ronnie Foreman, and Chris Tadlock. Honorary Pallbearers were Charles Risher, Bryant Risher, Dale Risher, and Howard Leach.
