Mr. K.J. Windham, age 91, passed away on Sunday October 23, 2016 at his residence in Forest, MS. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 27, 2016 from 12:30PM until 1:50PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday October 27, 2016 at 2:00PM at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS. Officiating will be Rev. Trey Harper. Burial will follow in the Antioch-Steele Cemetery in Forest, MS. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Windham had lived in Forest, MS for the past forty-four years where he moved from Morton, MS and was a member of the Forest United Methodist Church. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Upon returning home, he delivered gas for Laster and Neal Butane Company in Morton, MS. He worked for Talon and then established K’s Corner in Morton until he sold it in 1966 and went to work with Peavey Electronics where he retired in the 1980’s. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Mae Smith Windham; and his daughter, Brenda Sue McCune. He is survived by three daughters, Linda Joan Calvery (Bobby) of Baton Rouge, LA, Fredna Jean Windham of Madison, MS, and Neal Dean Walters of Forest, MS; one son, Ken Windham of Forest, MS; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Neal Chesnut, Lynn Chesnut, Phillip Windham, Glenn Coughlin, Justin Calvery, Steven Calvery, Sean Franklin, and Justin Harrison.
