Mr. James H. “Papaw” Worley, age 83, passed away on Friday April 07, 2017 in Collins, MS. Visitation will be held on Thursday April 13, 2017 from 4:30PM until 7:00PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Friday April 14, 2017 at 2:00PM at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS with burial following in the Polkville Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be Br. Zach Kilpatrick. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Worley had lived in the Morton area for one year where he moved from Clinton, MS. He was a member of the Polkville First Baptist Church. He loved to work on T.V.’s and was always ready to help anyone that needed help. Mr. Worley also served as a Deacon, ran the sound system, and sang in the Senior Adult Choir for many years at Parkway Baptist Church. He loved his family and his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Linnie Bell Worley; his brothers, Gordon and Charles Worley; and his granddaughter, Michelle Gray. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Jean Worley of Morton, MS; two daughters, Janice Gray (Michael) of Morton, MS and Sandra Thompson (Michael) of Clinton, MS; one son, James Burke “Bo” Worley (Cheryl) of Malvern, PA; one brother, Percy Ray Worley (Barbara) of Bovina, MS; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
